Welcome to the Gold Coast 100 super-marathon

The Gold Coast 100 super-marathon, to be held on Sunday 8 June 2008, is Australia's premier 100 km road race.

It is conducted along the scenic Gold Coast beachfront, one of the foremost beachfronts in the world.

The race is the qualifying event for athletes to represent Australia at the IAU 100km World Cup.

Join the fun and excitement of the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

5 and 10 km fun runs

There will be a 5km walk and 5 & 10km fun runs on the Saturday afternoon. The 100km race is to be held on the Sunday and the prizegiving for the 100 km at the Kurrawa Surf Club on the Monday morning.

If you're not up to the 100km event on the Sunday, there will be 50 km and 25 km options and, of course, the 5km walk and 5 and 10km fun runs on the Saturday.

Treat yourself to a mini break on this long weekend.

The Gold Coast is Australia's premier tourist destination with something for everyone. There is ample reasonably priced accommodation nearby as well as the world acclaimed Pacific Fair shopping centre, the magnificent Sofitel hotel, the Broadbeach mall with its many coffee shops and, of course, the Conrad Jupiters Casino. The world renowned theme parks of the Gold Coast will complete the holiday for those who feel so inclined.
